In The Blue of Spring

The clouds are parting, look!
Giving way to the glory that is the sun
The morning rain falls no more
to wash my crimson tears unto Heaven
I know not how long this wait can sustain
and yet I wait….I wait still
For your release from the realm immortal
and send you back to my embrace
that is all yours to inherit
and yours still to deliver
And what heavenly being could have your true heart
when I have that in my keeping
As I am singing to you
The flowers are in bloom
They are bleeding light
They vow to visit me next spring
If I am still in waiting
in a smile venerated, I just bow
For I know they seek the virtue in my soul
and in the blue of spring
I still wait for you
